Template Licence
Last updated: 19 June 2026. These terms apply to clstudio.uk and services provided by Connor Lunn trading as CL Studio (United Kingdom).
When you purchase a template from CL Studio, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the files for permitted projects — not ownership of the underlying design or source code. The licence tier you select at checkout determines how many live sites you may build.
Licence tiers
Single Business Licence
Install and use the template for a single business entity on one production domain. Ideal for a sole trader or single-location business launching their main site.

Multi-Site Licence
Use the template across multiple websites owned by the same business — for example, separate location sites, sub-brands, or franchise branches.

Commercial Licence
Build unlimited client websites using the template. Designed for freelancers, studios, and agencies who deliver sites for multiple customers.

What you may do
- Install and modify the template for permitted end products.
- Use the finished site for commercial or personal business purposes.
- Customise copy, colours, images, layout, and branding.
- Deploy the site on a domain you control.
What you may not do
- Resell, redistribute, or share the template source files as-is.
- List or sell the template (modified or not) as your own template or theme product.
- Use the template in a product where the template itself is the main value — for example, a marketplace theme or boilerplate you sell to others without a Commercial Licence.
- Remove licence or attribution notices included in the files.
One licence per purchase
Each checkout applies one licence tier to one template product. If you need a different tier or additional templates, purchase the appropriate licence at checkout or contact us before buying if you are unsure.
Updates and support
Licences include 12 months of template updates where offered for that product. Setup documentation is included. Custom design changes, new features, or integration work can be quoted separately as a service.
Termination
If you breach these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using and delete the template source files. Sites already live at termination should be taken down or rebuilt without our template code.
